El yacimiento arqueológico romano que tenemos en Fuengirola se sitúa en la avenida Nuestro Padre Jesús Cautivo de la barriada de Torreblanca.

Se descubrió hace relativamente poco, en la década de los 80, cuando se estaban realizando las obras para una nueva línea de ferrocarril, aunque se estima que su origen es del siglo I al IV d.c. El yacimiento contiene una factoría con sala de despiece, depósitos para el salado del pescado y almacén, unos hornos pertenecientes a un alfar y unas termas.
También se han encontrado piezas de incalculable valor histórico, como la Venus de Fuengirola, utensilios agrícolas de la sociedad y sus termas.

Venus de Fuengirola

The roman archaeological site that we have in Fuengirola is located in the avenue Nuestro Padre Jesús Cautivo of the neighborhood of Torreblanca.

It was discovered in the decade of the 80s when they were doing the construction for the new railway line, althgough its estimated that his origin was about the first and the fourth century a.C.The site has a factory with a cutting room, store for the salting of the fish and storehouse, some ovens owned an Potter and some baths.

Althgough they found some pieces of incontable historical value like the Venus of Fuengirola, agricultural tools of the age and her baths.
